P. 2 Expressing quantities without numbers

Hi,

In our last classes we worked on quantifiers HOW MANY -  HOW MUCH - A LITTLE  - A FEW - A LOT OF - SOME - ANY. Remember that this group of words help us to express quantities without using any numbers, but you have to keep in mind if you're talking about a countable or uncountable noun. Analyze these examples:

How much milk do babies drink? They drink a lot of miilk.

How many arepas and empanadas do people in Colombia eat? They eat a lot of arepas and empanadas.

How much salt do you need for the soup? I need a little salt.

How many eggs do you want to eat? I want just a few.

Is there any ketchup in the fridge? No, there isn't any.

Are there any lemons for the lemonade? Yes, there are some.

In the following chart you find a review of the most common quantifiers and how to use them.

Now it's practice time and the following exercises will help you practice a bit more on the topic.
