Classes 10-12: Talking about routines

In our last classes, we started to talk about those activities that are a normal part of our lives, and we do it through the simple present tense. Here there are some examples:

Many Colombian people drink coffee in the morning.

We don't read the newpaper but we listen to the radio news.

Daniel doesn't get up early in the morning.

Cristins works from Sunday to Sunday.

The following video will help you remember how to use the simple present tense.

And as all we know that practice makes masters, let's practice on this topic with the next activities, but before that, I want you to watch a brief video the spelling rules for this tense (video).

Class 4: Jobs and occupations

Hello,

Remember that when we want to ask a person for his/her occupation we do it this way:

What do you do? I'm a teacher,

What does Fernando Botero do? He's an artist.

What does Paulina Vega do? She's a model.

The aim of the following activities is to help you expand and reinforce your vocabulary on the topic.

Classes 3 & 4: Verb To Be

Verb TO BE is a linking verb, this means it helps us to connect a person with some specific information such as name, nationality, age, marital status, profession, general physical description, character, and other pieces of personal information. The next image shows you some examples.

As practice is quite important, let's work on the topic with the following exercises. Please, if you need to use a contraction use the apostrophe (the key after number 0).
